Rationing the Blame: Is it my SEO applications or is it Google?
I admit. Prior to finding out about SEO tools and website marketing field, I was of the opinion that Google was the best thing ever. I Googled everything from human beings, to photography, to news to strange objects and completely trusted the results. Then I heard about SEO applications and a whole field focused on Web promotion, and things were never the same. But even before my revelation, having done some reflective analysis, I got a hunch that search engines, Google to boot, know far from everything, and share with the web community a tiny portion of that.
My search escapades soon persuaded me that Flikr is a more comprehensive image search source, that with the assistance of feeds I can have interesting current events stories without the need to rummage through Google search retrieval (rummaging seems more appropriate than Google search), and human search is better administered by Facebook. It seems like whenever I search for strange gadgets on Google, the results are almost always inaccurate, to put it kindly. Try Googling for SEO programs and other SEO connected themes on Google and you are just about prepared to surrender your self-control. I mean, seriously, what’s the connection between SEO applications and employment sites or online casinos? It happens in my disappointment.
So when news of seo management software and the entire industry built around it entered my humble worldview, my suspicions about websites popping up on first page of Google grew manifold. Do they deserve to show up on there and who is to blame, Google or webmasters using SEO programs. The ethical dilemma is immense. Do I stop using my SEO google ranking or do I seize using Google instead? I decided that I can’t quit Google just yet. At least not until the worthy rival enters the market. For now I will keep juggling between Blekko, Google and the above methods to complement the SERP mess that Google is. And, oh,yes, I will continue playing with my SEO applications.
Frankly, SEO apps is the reason why people like me get found on the net. smart as they are, search engine bots are unlikely to find some average person and position his domain highly. In this regard, I remain a steadfast fan of SEO products and non-paid search. If it was all about the cash, the corporate entities would squish me before I knew it. And there are hundreds of businesses on the Fortune list! But here is another thing that irks me and other backlink check users, I am confident. There are people who invest in SEO software products and use them to sell beddingon career sites and the like. What we are left with is junk that not only lives on the Internet but is also highly indexed by Google.
What is the public perspective on this? They Google SEO tool reviews and will instead find junk search findings. They get disenchanted. So much for the “Internet equality”. Does this mean that SEO application and service field is harmful? I don’t think so.
The unethical users of SEO products have to stop corrupting the Web but it’s like ordering hackers to stop cracking the code. The bad thing about it is that black hat SEOs are overusing the opportunity to be noticeable on the Web that is offered to the random dude like myself. For now users just have to tolerate them. We can only wish that Google will put more effort into spotting the schemers unethically using SEO products, and if Google doesn’t, the big Google will.
